Mexican Floor Tiles

The best source of rustic floor tiles is Mexico. It is about the only country still producing handmade tiles. In the region of Dolores Hidalgo we use red clay to make rustic tiles. They are about an inch thick, very similar to the pavers used by Spanish during colonial period for flooring hacienda homes, churches and civic buildings.
