Spanish Mexican Tile InstallationIdentify the wall center and mark intersecting lines. Begin spreading wall tile adhesive in each direction evenly. Begin installing mexican tiles one by one vertically towards the wall end. The tiles on both raw ends should have similar dimension. Firmly press the tile giving it some twist to assure good contact. Since Spanish Mexican Tile is formed by hand some differences are expected. Lay them about a 1/4 inch apart to accommodate those differences. If you need to cut it use a water saw. The following day begin grouting. Clean the backsplash wall, counter surface or your stair risers from any excess grout with a wet sponge.
