Copper Bar Sink Care and Buying Instructions
The copper bar sink page offers various options including sink size and patina. To begin purchasing choose the sink size. Beside custom orders we offer three bar sink sizes, small, medium and large. Once you selected your bar sink size choose copper finishing. It can be dark coffee, natural fired, honey, antique, hand polished and nickel-plated. There is an extra cost for two last options as they factor in extra work and material. Applying nickel over copper is quite expensive as it required specialized equipment. We send our copper sinks for nickel plating to specializing company. The price of custom kitchen sink depends on dimensions. Any copper sink finished with patina is not sealed as the patina penetrates metal deep. The exception is natural fired finishing. We varnish the surface to protect against further oxidation. Do not place hot objects directly on the copper sink. Nor leave for any period of time soap or any other detergent as it can discolor the patina. Using acidic products including vinegar, abrasive cleaners is not advisable. Nor poring citric acids like lemon, tomato products or harsh chemical cleaners. Those substances can lighten the patina. The natural oxidation takes place immediately and darker tones comeback in time. Care for your "Laredo" copper bar sink by cleaning it with hot soapy water while scrubbing with a soft nylon brush.
