Rustica House Cargo Incident
Posted by
onWe are very sad to announce that a track belonging to the Mexican carrier carrying our weekly cargo to the US/Mexico border has been set on fire by criminals operating in Nuevo Laredo that is a border city located just three hours drive from San Antonio, Texas. As a result, all products were distorted. This Rustica House cargo incident seams as random savagery aiming to intimidate the local population. They did not harm the driver but the vandals destroyed also a few other tracks as well as warehouses. As all of our products are hand-made and our Mexican artisans and coppersmiths elaborate them apron receiving an order, it means that we have to redo all the orders that were shipped on the assaulted track.
As it is shown on the images, the products are beyond repair. In total 14 zinc and copper range hoods as well as copper bathtubs were lost in the fire. We are terribly sorry to be given such dreadful news to all of our clients whose orders were destroyed in the Rustica House cargo incident. We want to assure you that since we heard the news, the company reordered the replacement production. It is our priority to full fill those orders as quickly as possible. The success of our online store has always been founded on the excellence in product elaboration, customer service quality and the trust we were able to establish as a result of millions of satisfied purchases in rustic kitchen and bathroom improvement products.
As a consequence, the shipments with BOL numbers indicated below have been cancelled and once the replacement products are ready for shipping new BOL numbers will be generated.

We apologize for any inconveniences caused and having to bring that bad news during the Christmas times. We expect to be in a position to ship the products in the third week of January. We will keep in contact with all of our clients whose orders were affected by this unacceptable incident.
If you are already a client of Rustica House or you are exploring this possibility, you probably know that what makes our company unique is that all of our products are made-to-order. That means that every piece of furniture, decoration and appliance is one-of-a-kind and can be fully customized in size, color, shape or hammered details and motives. Our prices are uncomparable with products made in the USA due to the lower costs of natural resources such as clay for Mexican tiles or metals for our zinc, iron or copper range hoods and copper bathroom tubs and sinks.
We also do not charge any extra fee for custom production. In general, all products for home improvement are non-stock items fabricated only after the orders are placed. It provides to the buyer extraordinary opportunity to obtain their brand new treasures fully personalized without paying for their handcrafted furnishings which is always the case when contracting made-to-order in the US. However, it can also have its unintentional downside, just like the Rustica House cargo incident that occured couple days ago.
